Have you heard about the latest multi level marketing business venture?  Did it come to you from an email, a tip from your neighbor or the guy in the other office?  Should you check it out or should you keep doing what you do every time you hear about the newest mlm, keep it moving?

You see there are a lot of ways that people can scam you out of your money.  And when you are looking at ventures such as those that come in multi level marketing business you want to be extremely careful.  Those ventures that ask you for a sizeable contribution are ones that you are going to want to be extra cautious about.  You make be wondering why I would say that.  Well as I mentioned earlier there are plenty of things like pyramid schemes and they are truly created to take your money.  Oh sure you will hear about a product of some sort, but they aren’t really interested in you selling their product, they are interested in you buying it.

The difference between the pyramid schemes and multi level marketing is that one is actually going to focus on pushing their product.  One will offer you a money back guarantee.  They will offer you some kind of product buy back.  Meaning if you for some reason aren’t able to sell the product  or you have decided that this venture isn’t for you, the mlm will actually buy back the products.  Sometimes up to 80% of the product.  With pyramids they are only interested in getting you to sign up and then making sure that you have individuals do the same.

The pyramids will often have you purchase tons and tons of products and then leave you hanging.  So instead of focusing on moving product like a multi level marketing business would, they are focused on getting people to become a part of the pyramid.  The more people sign up, the more money they make on the top.  And when there is no one else to join, the individuals who recently became a part of the pyramid are left without any of their funds and tons of products.
