Multi level network marketing

There has been so much negative talk about multi level network marketing recently that I wondered why my friends were so against it.  I have often heard that it is probably the best way to work for your self and still have a life.  I have heard of many people who have been extremely successful in their multi level investments.  And yet still my friends feel like the idea of me being involved in such a business means that I’m ready to take advantage of some poor unsuspecting grandma and her life savings.

I have told them repeatedly that just because I’m in multi level network marketing it doesn’t mean that I’m automatically going to scam someone.  We laugh about it every now and then because they know my character to be one with a high level of integrity but it still sometimes gives me pause when I realize that a lot of people seem to have the same genuine feelings towards multi level marketing.

Now I’m not saying that there aren’t a lot of scams around. There are people who are taking advantage of poor grandma Susan or Aunt Bess, but that isn’t all of them.  Yes you will find quite a few network marketing programs where they claim that they are legitimate and they even have plenty of testimonials to back them up.  I’ve even come across a few mlm companies that state that they have been researched and verified by other websites.  But I have to say the only way to ensure that you are dealing with a legitimate site is to check them out on the better business bureau.  And it never hurts to ensure that they have been around for a while. 

This is what I tell my friends, or as I affectionately call them negative Nellie.  I tell them that the company that I’m working with has been around for more than 15 years.  They are solid and provide a solid product.  I assure them that the products that are being sold aren’t just your run of the mill products, but that they are top of the line.  Then when they see the commission payment that I get for not really selling a hot product, they are clear that the multi level network marketing company that I work with isn’t a scam. A friend of mine has his own home based business as an independent rep with a multi level marketing company, it happens to be fairly young, but it’s doing well for him.  He wanted to find a way to reach individuals who wanted to start earning extra income from the comforts of their own home.  He asked for some advice from another friend who also had an mlm company of their own.

Now I’m sure that you are probably wondering why any multi level marketing company would ever offer unlimited free leads and free marketing systems and websites.  Well the honest truth is you will be hard pressed to find any company that offers all that for free and it’s not because they would be loosing all kinds of money doiing so but because of greed.  Most companies will nichel and dime you to death for everything and make a fortune themselves just doing this.  But there are a few that look at it for the long term by helping their members start a multi level marketing business of their own for almost nothing because in the long run the longer you can stay with a company and afford it the more probability that person will stay and make money for the long haul.  You’ll find that most companies charge around $20 a month for a website, $20 – $40 a month for a marketing system and charge you for each lead from day one and after a few months most members find that it’s costing them to much money to stay in business so they quit before they can even break even.  But if you help people start the business for free with never any additional costs then it’s a win win for both the company and the rep and most companies can’t see this or rather don’t really care.

Today my friend is doing better than well, he is doing great.  He utilizes the free leads that are provided by the network marketing company and puts them into the automated marketing system that does most of the work for him, signs people up and then trains them.  From there he is growing his business probably three times more than if he had done it individually, the old fashion way. You know of asking your friends and family members to order your products.  He would’ve spent more wasted time trying to get his family and friends on board.

While earning extra income can sometimes be easier said than done, there are both simple and hard ways to do it.  Some like my friend above found a great multi level marketing company, others will start other kinds of businesses online.  If you are one of those people you just have to be careful and do your research and know what you are looking for and then go for it.

Trusting multi level marketing companies!

Can you trust all these multi level marketing companies that are offering you such great deals?  Are they really offering you a great opportunity for you to be excited about?  Do they offer you the chance to make really money or is it just another way to get someone in their down line?

There are many different multi level marketing companies around; they all have some of the same basic features.  But then there are some areas that they start to vary in.  Some will be with the products for sure.  Not all mlm’s sell health or beauty products and not all mlm’s sell house hold products.  There are some of them that do both and some that specialize in things like filtration systems or purifying systems; others that only specialize in beauty products, and so on and son forth.

Now I will say this for your benefit, be careful of the type of multi level marketing companies that you get involved with.  Some of them are legitimate and some of them aren’t.  You may want to do some research, and I highly encourage you to do that.  Don’t ever get involved with a company without first doing some research on them.  Check them out with the better business bureau or any other agency in your area that carries reports on businesses.  It’s important because you don’t want to make the mistake of getting involved in something that is considered a scam.  You always want to make sure that you have done your due diligence.

Making sure that you have done your research will keep you from joining a pyramid scam posing as a multi level marketing opportunity.  These can often be tricky to pin point sometimes.  But be mindful of the fact that most scams are only after you money, and the money of the people that you bring into your down line.  They don’t necessary spend a lot of time on the product and they may seem more inclined to get you to join and get others to join.

When you find multi level marketing companies that are good, they have solid track records and offer a product that you can not only stand behind, but be proud to offer, stick with them.  And if they offer you training or a way to grow your down line, then you may just want to stop searching.  You may have found the right multi level marketing company and multi level marketing system for you.
