I have found several internet business opportunities where you can work as an independent contractor for several companies.  Now that is a nice way to make an extra income.  You are able to provide your expertise during a time frame that you are comfortable with.  And if your area of expertise is something that you do on a regular basis, then this is a good way to ensure that you are staying abreast of any changes that take place.

If you are a Coder or Medical transcriptionist you have the luxury of creating main internet business opportunities with your ability to transcribe medical coding.  You can create multiple income sources based on the amount of work you can take on.  And if you happen to know several other transcriptionists you can start your own online business where you contract them out to doctor offices, or billing companies.  That is certainly a good way of utilizing the internet for business.
