A Little Info About Internet Home Based Businesses

I enjoy finding new, up and coming internet home based businesses.   And often times, my friends use me like you would a stock broker for tips.  They are constantly asking me what’s good on the home based business side of life.  Do I have any tips about the latest business or should they start up with this particular internet business or not?  While I don’t claim to be the expert, but it seems that my many years of doing various home based businesses have netted me such a title with my friends. 

So generally, if they find any internet home based businesses, they bring them to me first.  I don’t know of any of my friends who would just take on a new business without talking to me about it first.  And I think what’s even funnier is that they will have their friends contact me on whether or not an internet based business has a sound foundation.  I’m sure you are thinking well anyone can do that.  It’s objective, to say the least, right? Maybe even a little biased at some point.  And that may be true to some degree, maybe not.

You see when it comes down to getting set up with any home based business; I like to check them out.  I like to make sure that I have exhausted all the resources that are available to me.  I have made every effort to find out what kind of businesses I am looking at.  Why they were developed and what was the idea behind their product.  I really like finding information on innovative businesses.  You know those companies that have made an effort to be forward thinking and to provide a unique experience not only to the consumer but to their employees or independent distributors as well.

Another area of concern for me would be how much time the business takes in making sure that you, their distributor or employee, has a clear understanding of what their company is about.   This is important for the mere purpose of ensuring that you have made the right choice in them, out of all the other internet home based businesses that you looked through.  This will ensure your success as well as the companies continued growth and success.

My Friends And Their Internet Business Ideas

I have two friends who are always looking for ways to make extra money.  Their wives love to tell me that they are doing another "get rich quick" scheme again, and how I need to talk to my friends.  Well the other day one of them dropped by and mentions that he had some internet business ideas and wanted to share them with me. 

Now me being the good friend that I am, I don’t discourage him at all.  I listen, because, hey, I’m a good friend.  So I’m listening to him talk about the various ways that he could make additional income with these different internet business ideas.  He’s giving me option after option and idea after idea, and to be honest, most of them were pretty good.  Oh sure he had some far fetched ones and even what might be considered a pyramid scam.  Yeah, I had to do some reining him in a little.  But for the most part he had come up with some pretty solid ideas.

And the thing was he wasn’t looking to make an absorbent amount of money.  Well, let me rephrase that, he wasn’t looking to make a ridiculous amount of money with most of his ideas.  With the pyramid thing that we trashed, he was looking to "get rich quick", just like his wife said he always did.  That was a mess.  But the other business ideas were simple and effective.  He thought up ways to make sure that his businesses would be well advertized.  He’d done some homework on the best internet businesses to utilize that wouldn’t require a lot of maintenance on his part.  He even found a couple that only required him to do an initial set up and then it basically would run itself.  It would run 24 hours a day, seven days a week and all he had to do was periodically check it.

I was truly amazed at all the ideas that he had come up with.  And that the majority of them were sound, solid business ideas that could be done on the internet.  I even told him, I’d be interested in doing one or two of them with him.  You should’ve seen his face.  He was so excited and I have to admit so was I.  He told me he couldn’t wait to get home and tell his wife how impressed I was about his internet business ideas and that I was even going to join up with him.  I laughed and told him to go with my blessing.  His wife called me a few weeks later to thank me for listening to him and to let me know that she had just gone shopping with his first check from his business.  She’s pretty pleased with him too.  Check out our recommended internet business ideas here.

My criteria for multi level marketing companies

For most people who work for multi level marketing companies can’t say enough good things about them.  I have found that every now and then you may run into one or two individuals that don’t have anything nice to say about the companies that they worked for.  But generally that is far and few in between.  I have found that I’m generally not alone in my enthusiasm in regards to working with multi level companies.  So what’s so great about them?  What makes me such a positive Polly regarding them?  I’ll share some of the things with you.

For starters, you have to know that I am very selective with the multi level marketing companies that I choose.  I don’t just pick up any old one.  And I most certainly do not pick the first company that comes along.  I do my homework on each company that I might be considering.  And let me tell you, I start with a ton of them normally its closer to 20.  Then I begin to weed them out.  I start with the companies that have been around for less than five years, then 10, then 20 and so on and so forth.  If I manage to still have a decent size stack of companies, I will do my level two disqualification step.  I will look at the companies business practices. 

This is important to me because I want to know how they treat their customers as well as how they treat their employees.  I search for those individuals who are unhappy.  And when I say search, I mean it.  I can sometimes spend an entire day doing a search on one company.    I look for the blogs and chat rooms that talk about the various multi level companies around.  I look to see who is happy and who isn’t.  From that I can get a pretty good feel of what kind of company I may be dealing with. 

While I have several other qualifying or disqualifying steps, I like to look at the product to see if it’s something that I myself would purchase.  If it’s not, then I’m not going to be comfortable selling the product, much less putting my name to it.  And then there is the compensation.  If they don’t have at least a three level compensation plan, I’m not going to want to bring a down line under that.  I will always look for the multi level marketing companies that offer at least a two level compensation plan.  These are just a some of my criteria for choosing a multi level company.  Feel free to use them; they may be helpful to you.  See my personal list of recommended multi level marketing companies.
